Teaching Notes
Simpson:
For less experienced dancers: the heys in B1 can be done without changing leads.
For more experienced dancers: the dolphin heys in this dance can be done with hands joined (my original intent); ie., couples dancing in tandem keep nearer hands joined with partner and change hands as they change leads; they also keep hands joined going into the mirror back-to-back. If used, the handhold requires the tandem couple to be slightly offset rather than one directly behind the other.
Change of direction: two dancers (W2 and W3) will have to anticipate changing direction coming out of the circle of eight in order to go into the heys across the
Simpson has this written 1s, 3s, improper, which means (I think) you change sides of the set every two times through the dance. (When going from 1 to 2 and 4 to 3).
